Kurt Tittlemier is an award winning guitarist and native of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Kurt's career has
encompassed performance, teaching and arts administration. As a performer he has appeared as both a
soloist, chamber musician and side man. Past collaborations include performances with west coast guitar
virtuoso Dr. Alexander Dunn, multi-media artist Freya Olafson and with singer songwriter Dan Frechette
at The Brandon Folk Festival. Kurt is a passionate teacher who believes each student has potential for
self expression through music. Many of Kurt's students have been recognized in competitions including
the Winnipeg Classical Guitar Scholarship (2010), and the Canwest Jazz scholarship (2010). Kurt holds a
Masters of Music degree from the University of Victoria (2004), and has served as a clinician/adjudicator
for the Brandon Festival of Arts and the University of Manitoba Preparatory Division enrichment program.
Kurt Currently enjoys a career as a sessional Guitar Instructor at CMU, and the President of The
Winnipeg Classical Guitar Society.
