Kurt Tittlemier

Kurt Tittlemier is an award winning guitarist and native of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Kurt is currently the President of the Winnipeg Classical Guitar Society and a sessional instructor at CMU. As a performer he has appeared as both a soloist and chamber musician. Past collaborations include performances with west coast virtuoso Dr. Alexander Dunn, folk artist Dan Frechette and Flutist Julie Husband.

Kurt is a passionate teacher who believes each student has potential for self expression through music. Many of Kurt’s students have been recognized in competitions including the Winnipeg Classical Guitar Scholarship (2010,2018,2020) , Best overall classical performance Winnipeg Music Festival Grd 8 RCM (2018), Canwest Jazz scholarship (2008,2009,2010) and a Gold medal RCM grd 5 (2021).

Kurt holds a Masters of Music degree from the University of Victoria (2004), and has served as a clinician/adjudicator for the Brandon Festival of Arts and the University of Manitoba Preparatory Division enrichment program.
